The fundamental challenge for air cooling servers is perspective. If you assume you can’t radically redesign a rack, you are stuck with trying to optimize the airflow you have been given. Forced Physics started by designing a modular, highly optimized air-based heat transfer system, then they designed a rack full of servers around it. It is a change of perspective on optimizing datacenter thermal design using air cooling.

Thanks, Dave. Good afternoon, everyone, and thank you for joining us today. We reported Q3 revenue of $4.1 million, a 24% decrease from revenue in Q3 2017 and flat with Q2 revenue of 2018. Our lower revenue resulted in a loss for the quarter of $45,000, or $0.01 per share.

All of this brings us to the question of who’s going to buy the car. Hyundai is expecting sales to be 50 per cent electric, 30 per cent plug-in, and 20 per cent series hybrid, but it wouldn’t be drawn on a sales target.

We are already working with a number of Apple-centric point-of-sale providers in Japan, who believe this is a significant opportunity. We have launched the D760 and S860 early, so that it required software can be written, tested and deployed in 2019. We believe these actions will positively impact our revenue in 2019.

The Ioniq Electric comes to market as Australia’s cheapest purely electric car. The $44,990 (before on-roads) sticker is still hefty for a five-door liftback similar in size to Hyundai’s Elantra and i30.

There are a few different ways to recharge. You’ll get from flat to 80 per cent in 23 minutes on a 100kW DC fast charger, around four and a half hours using a home AC fast charger, or 12 hours hooked up to a regular wall socket.

This means that Type 1 plugs (as found in the original Leaf, iMiEV and most pre 2018 EVs here) are no longer offered by any new EV sold in Australia.

There is a sticky point in all of this. Communication technology vendors prefer the one-size-fits-all approach that is customized by their system integration (SI) partners, so that the vendor can keep its product as simple and economical as possible. In some cases, such as Sharpie Markers, this works well. But enterprise communications usually requires much more industry-specific differentiation, at least for the software that presents the user experience (UX) and integrates to the other systems in each element of the value chain, as suggested in the two examples above.
